You're a professional charged with helping, treating, caring for, or protecting others. Whether you're military, fire fighter, police officer, probation or parole officer, correctional officers, doctor, nurse, PSW, pastor, chaplain, reverend, teacher, principal, superintendent, trustee, social worker, case worker, child protection worker, lawyer, or another helping professional, you spend your days in service to others. Your role is essential, your work is meaningful, but you've noticed it's leaving you feeling drained, exhausted, disengaged, disconnected, cynical, burned out, or even angry.
You're still performing the job and making a difference, but the emotional and physical strain is becoming overwhelming. Perhaps you may have noticed:
Sleep disturbances: Lying awake, your mind racing as you replay the day’s challenges.
Physical symptoms: Chronic pain, headaches, or even numbness as stress manifests in your body.
Unhealthy coping mechanisms: Using substances like alcohol to escape the weight of your responsibilities.
Difficulty setting boundaries: Struggling to say “no” or express your needs, even when you're stretched too thin.
Or perhaps, you feel like Jonah - the job has swallowed you up whole. At the end of the day, it feels impossible to fully disconnect. Your mind stays with your clients, patients, students, or colleagues long after the workday ends. Do you find yourself comparing yourself to peers who seem to be able to "handle it better". Perhaps you find yourself volleying the same thoughts over and over. Your internal dialogue alternates between:
1) Asking how much longer you can keep going at this pace?
2) Saying they need me, so I have to maintain this pace!
Would you like to stop this internal debate? Would you like to regain a sense of peace?
It's Time to Prioritize You
Your commitment to being a compassionate helper doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your own health and well-being to the job. If you're ready to reclaim your energy and your passion for life and your career, then let's connect. Take the first step toward a more balanced, sustainable, and fulfilling today.

Proactive psychological screening is a "Check Up For The Neck Up". It's the human equivalent of a mechanic's "50 Point Inspection". Upon completion, you receive a "Report" which gives you information about areas of strengths and areas for development. The goal is to promote awareness because knowledge is power. I believe transparency in the treatment process directly contributes to positive treatment outcomes. As such, you can expect me to demystify the the therapeutic process. This means psychoeducation and bibliotherapy are embedded in every treatment plan.
I am trained in multiple modalities, therefore you can anticipate that we will approach healing in more than one way. In the process, we will discover which approach(s) best suits your personality and clinical needs. As a trauma specialist, I know "the body keeps the score", therefore I promote a holistic approach to healing; this means addressing the mind, body, and soul.
The treatment process is collaborative, so you will always have choice about how (fast, slow, etc.) we proceed, so speak up - I'm listening.
In sessions, I will help you to:
Introspection is not easy. It's a process that takes time time, hard work, sweat, and yes - tears. It’s gruelling work to unpack years of history. It's challenging (with lots of homework), but I think you will find the results are worth it. And remember, though you're doing the heavy lifting, I'll be there to spot you.
